Companies Are Now Offering THC Spiked Drinks
As reported by NPR, Pabst Blue Ribbon has begun selling a non-alcoholic cannabis-infused seltzer. PBR’s lemon seltzer sells for $24 a four park and has hit shelves in California. One can contains 5 mg of THC and is aimed at revolutionizing the cannabis market.
Other companies are getting in on cannabis-infused drinks. Lagunitas, according to NPR, is producing a line of “hoppy seltzer drinks” with THC in them. More are joining the trend.
The Dangers of Mixing Alcohol and Cannabis
While the cannabis market grows, some are concerned about the risk of mixing alcohol and THC. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the use of marijuana and alcohol together “is likely to result in greater impairment.” More research, however, is needed to determine what alcohol drinks infused with THC will do to the body. The CDC and other regulatory agencies have focused must of their studies on drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana. Drinks spiked with THC are a relatively new phenomenon.
